My Story
Hi! I’m Ghada
A certified Holistic Health Coach where my focus is on all things MINDSET related. I am also a foodie, fitness fanatic, wife, and mom of 3 boys.
As I was approaching 40 (and let me tell you, I was dragging my feet to this major milestone), something hit me. It felt like a mid-life crisis, or perhaps a wake-up call—whatever it was - I woke up one morning and thought to myself, “Where did the time go? What have I truly accomplished?” I am beyond blessed to have built a home with my husband and our 3 kids, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that in the process of creating life I lost myself completely. I couldn’t remember the last time I had done something for ME without the MOM GUILT creeping in. That is the key word there - guilt. Any attempt at self-care was always overshadowed by that omnipresent feeling. I felt unhealthy, I was always sick, I was not a fan of my body, I hated my job, I was not satisfied with my direction in life, and I felt stuck, just going through the motions in life - like a zombie.
Simultaneously, I grappled with Diastasis Recti, a common condition causing abdominal separation among pregnant and postpartum women. This led to chronic back pain, low mobility, and constant anxiety over my body image, exacerbated by the persistent mom-pooch. One wrong move could render me bedridden for days, impacting my self-esteem and overall well-being. These experiences compelled me to seek change.
Something had to change
I made a pivotal decision to enroll in a Holistic Health Coaching course, driven by a desire to rediscover happiness within my own skin, body, and life. This journey led me to a profound realization—I had an overwhelming need to share the wisdom and insights gained with other women experiencing similar struggles.
It all boils down to mindset
Recognizing that my mindset served as the linchpin to my overall well-being, I embarked on a journey of introspection. Prioritizing self-reflection, I confronted lingering childhood issues and embraced moments of stillness through meditation—a practice I once thought was a joke but now eagerly embrace whenever afforded a spare five minutes. I rekindled my relationship with physical activity, adopted mindful eating habits, and distanced myself from individuals who failed to align with my evolving values. It was a challenging process, one that is continuously ongoing, but the rewards were immeasurable. As I embrace my 40s, I do so with newfound strength and clarity.
Why holistic health coaching?
The term "holistic" resonated deeply with me, drawing me towards a comprehensive approach to health and well-being. My experience with the Integrated Institute of Nutrition (IIN) solidified my belief in the power of holistic practices. Rather than focusing solely on one element in my life to heal me, such as dietary choices, I learned to examine the broader spectrum of my being—career, family dynamics, relationships, and beyond. This holistic perspective ignited a passion within me to empower fellow women to seize control of their health and embark on their healing journey.
